A group of local bands are paying their respects to the group Nirvana at an event Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Jefferson in Charlottesville.
The group Invisible Hand visited the Newsplex for an in studio performance. They are one of the groups paying tribute to Nirvana.
“It’s a big deal, it’s an honor. I guess I feel like we can’t really come close to what they were but we’re going to try our hardest,” said Adam Smith, singer from Invisible Hand.
War Tempest and Dwight Howard Johnson will join the Invisible Hand at the Jefferson. The artists will each perform one Nirvana album.
The doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the show.
