Michael Coleman Band Performs In the Newsplex Studio

The Michael Coleman Band visited the Newsplex for in an in studio performance Tuesday.

The band draws inspiration from a diverse pool of musical influences including the Dave Matthews Band and John Legend. The group has only been together for about a year but they are already making a name for themselves locally. The band will part of the Fourth of July Celebrations in Charlottesville next week; performing at the Patriotism in the Park in Charlottesville.

“To be able to play in front of that many people for such a special occasion I’m honored. We’re honored. I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity at this point in my careers and our careers as a band. I’m really looking forward to it, said Michael Coleman, lead singer of the band.

Coleman says he hopes his music makes people feel inspired, to think, act and dance. The band will perform at Patriotism in the Park from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
