Charlottesville Parks and Recreation held its Summer Therapeutic Playground talent show and awards presentation Thursday (7/21) afternoon.
The event took place at the Walker School Gym.
The participants put on the play Beauty & the Beast before receiving awards.
The show's director, Aynsley Sandridge, said "The kids have a blast they love it and the ones who like to be front and center are front and center and the ones who like to be behind the scenes get to do that as well."
The Charlottesville Therapeutic Program is for kids ages eight and up with physical and mental disabilities.
The goal is to improve self-esteem and social skills while also having fun.
