One local family is turning their grief into giving, and turning the loss of their newborn baby into their inspiration to help other babies live happy, healthy lives. CBS19's Hailey Frances reports on our third installment profiling local heroes.
They're a picture-perfect family. Mom, Dad, three little girls, and their little angel. Cullen Auth was born with a heart condition just two years ago. He lived for just three days.
"The pain hurts and it's still there," says Tina Auth, Cullen's mom. "We wonder what he would look like. Which one of the girls he would look like or which one of us. We wonder about all the things he would be doing at this stage, and it's very hard."
Cullen's sister and mom are trying to find a new way of handling their pain by giving to other babies in need. They're donating baby items to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. They've collected formula, baby food, diapers, and money for the March of Dimes.
