The Great American Smoke-Out kicked off on Wednesday in Charlottesville. The Smoke-Free Virginia organization spoke about the negative affects of smoking, and are lobbying for a bill to ban all smoking indoors at any workplace.
To talk more about the Great American Smoke-Out, Dr. Alexander Schult joined the studio to explain more about what the Smoke-Out is all about. The main goal is to lower the use of smoking in the United States, and encourage more people to quit. This is to prevent the diseases and cancers that can be associated with smoking cigarrettes.
