Many kids may want a back to school outfit but how about a back to school hair style. CBS19’s Tara Wheeler takes a look at styles that will have them looking like stars as they head back to school.

“Everybody wants to look cool, everybody wants to fit in. It’s just amazing time for back to school because all of the kids are super excited,” said Brittany Ross, Assistant Manager at Hair Cuttery.

Back to school hair styles can be versatile and practical.

"Braids are just the thing now and it's really great because it will stay out of her face for recess or playing in school,” said Ross.

There are also easy styles just in case you hit the snooze button to many times and are in a rush to get ready for school.

“A lot of times kids have to go to the bus stop and they're rushing in the morning so this is definitely one of the styles that’s super easy. What we did was a classic bun but we added a twist by twisting two strands and wrapping it around. It’s easy but it looks like you tried a little bit it, it doesn't look like you just rolled out of bed,” said Ross.

For every child 18 and under that comes in to get their hair cut at hair cuttery, the salon will donate one free hair cut to a child in need.

Also, if you like the Hair Cuttery on facebook, facebook, or tweet @haircuttery, they'll donate a hair cut to a needy kid.
