It is a golden a rule of fashion to not wear white after Labor Day, but there might be a way to get around that rule. CBS19’s Tara Wheeler shares some tricks on how to wear white all year long.
When it comes to wearing white after Labor Day the key things to consider are shade and fabric. Creams, light grays and off-white shades are wearable all year long. When it comes to fabrics, thicker fabrics like wool and heavy cotton are good.
White jeans can even be worn in the fall, if you pair them with the right accessories. White jeans can be paired with brown boots, a sweater, leather jacket and a scarf.
You can trade in your white shoes for nude ones. Crème and bone colored boots are also acceptable after Labor Day.
