For this week's segment of Hot on the Hanger, CBS19's Tara Wheeler explores the eco-friendly clothing and accessories inside of Stella Blue.
Stella Blue specializes in fair trade eco-friendly clothing and decorative items.
"We essentially cut out the middle man when we're going to other countries and get our products directly from the manufacturer," said
Julia Melby, a Stella Blue employee.
The store is friendly to the environment, and friendly to your wallet. Everything in the store is $15 or less.
"It's a good place to shop, especially in the economic downturn. People are looking to save money and especially going to a $15 or less store you can get a lot of things at the same price as some of the other stores on The Corner," said Melby.
This time of year, the store offers a variety of cold weather accessories.
"With Virginia, you never know what the weather is going to be like," said Melby. "We have great wool scarves, hats, gloves you can just toss in your bag and don't have to worry about it."
With their eclectic collection, they're a great one stop shop for holiday gifts.
