For this week's segment of Hot on the Hanger, CBS19's Tara Wheeler went to Spring Street on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall to check out what fall fashion trends are popular this year.
Just because it is fall does not mean that you have to wear bulky and drab clothes.
Popular items include animal prints, turtle necks and stylish earings. The store also has a lot of jackets that are both warm and flattering.
"It's really comfortable, it's almost a sweat pant or jersey fabric but it's something you can dress up or dress down. Easy breezy it's something you can wear to class or out to dinner or an interview," said Cynthia Schroeder, the owner of Spring Street. "It's really versatile. I think people like things that can go from day to night and things that are classy but very comfortable."
The rich teal color is also very popular right now. Spring Street has teal tops and bags to give your outfit a little color.
