Hot on the Hanger: Holiday Party Attire

December 5, 2011

For this week's segment of Hot on the Hanger, CBS19's Tara Wheeler went to Spring Street to find the perfect outfit to wear to a holiday party this season.

The holiday party season is underway and there are a lot of different kinds of events taking place. Cynthia Schroeder, owner of Spring Street on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall highlighted a variety of outfits.

A magenta purple skirt with orange trim and a sequined purple top paired with a fur vest creates a funky look. The store also has looks that are more subdued.

"This is a fun beaded dress by French Connection with lots of fun colors. It's one of our best sellers and looks good on everybody," said Cynthia Schroeder, the owner of Spring Street.

Other outfits are more festive.

"This one certainly has some Christmas flair to it. The long silk with the ruffle and the luscious jade green look stunning on you," said Schroeder. "The gold earrings add just the right amount of sparkle and dangle to finish off the outfit."

And then there are more classic looks.

"You can't go wrong with the classic little black dress. The modern Audrey Hepburn," said Schroeder. "This just came in on Friday and the mesh lace detailing with the tie and the cutout just look stunning. This is your go-to dress for any party on your list."
