Hot on the Hanger: Spirit Girl

For this week's segment of Hot on the Hanger, CBS19's Tara Wheeler highlights accessories. Accessories from Spirit Girl don't just make your outfit pop, they literally lift your spirits.

"Spirit Girl is a trademark and it's basically for the women who are outside of the lines, they are different, and they do things different than most people," said Candida Franklin, of Spirit Girl. "Most of the jewelry that I've designed is all one of a kind, contemporary, so it kind of fits their personality.

The accessories also have a spiritual symbolism.

"I call them mythic rocks, the myths surrounding them are all different. They can protect you, balance you, it is all very nice stuff to put on and wear."

The pieces can take an outfit that is really simple and make it stand out. Franklin says the jewelry matches the personalities of women in Charlottesville.

"I think Charlottesville is full of strong, independent, creative women," said Franklin. "There is nothing better than having one of a kind."
