With Summer at our doorstep, bright and sunny colors dominate the fashion scene. There's one bold hue in particular that always makes a return year after year. Tara Wheeler went to Spring Street on the Downtown Mall to find out how to best wear the turquoise trend.

"Turquoise is the color of the moment and it's great because it looks good with a tan. It looks good with every skin tone and every hair color," says Cynthia Schroeder, owner of Spring Street. "We're seeing turquoise in everything from dresses, tunics, scarves, flip flops, and jewelry."

Turquoise is chic as an all-over look; or bold and trendy in a geometric or mosaic pattern.

"Turquoise works well with lots of colors as a predominant color or accent color," explains Schroeder.

Use a statement turquoise accessory to take an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary.

"Just get a little bracelet a pair of earrings try it out see how it goes., " says Schroeder. "Turquoise agrees with everyone. I think that's what's so good about it."

The right hue can even affect your mood.

"It's a bright color but also very earthy. It makes you feel grounded but also very alive," says Schroeder.

The color also has staying power. "It never goes out of style. It looks good on everybody, " explains Schroeder. "The same earrings would probably be good in five years that you would buy today."

It's the color of the moment and a must-have for your summer wardrobe.
