Jewel was the special dog at the studio this week for our Pet Project. She is a hound mix between 4 and 6 years old. JC from the Charlottesville/Albemarle SPCA explained that this dog has a very unique story.
Jewel was hit by a car a few months ago, and left on the side of the road. Some caring citizens found her, and brought the injured dog to the SPCA. Because of the accident she now only has 3 legs, but you would never be able to tell when you meet her. Jewel is in excellent shape, is very active and energetic, and would be a lovely addition to anyone's home. She has a great heart and still a very happy dog.
If you would like to visit Jewel or any other Pet Project, you can do so at the SPCA on 3355 Berkmar Drive in Charlottesville.
