Studies show that tens of millions of Americans take anti-depressant medications to deal with social anxiety.

On many college campuses, as many as 25 percent of students use Adderall and Ritalin to help them study.

Joseph Davis, associate sociology professor at the University of Virginia, chats with CBS19's Tiffani Sargent about this cultural phenomenon that's changing the way we think about ourselves and how we experience the world.
