UVa Today: Free Kidney Screenings

March 11, 2010

According to the National Kidney Foundation, one in nine adults in the United States have kidney disease. Most people don't even know about it.

Meanwhile, doctors at the University of Virginia are hoping to create more awareness with a free screening this Saturday.

Dr. Rasheed Balogun from the UVa. Health System talks with CBS19's Tiffani Sargent about the screening.

The screening will be Saturday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carver Recreation Center (223 Fourth St. NW, Charlottesville).
