In this week's edition of UVA Today, Shana Pack-Gangluff joined CBS19's Michelle Rupp to discuss Hoo's Well@.
This year is the inaugural year of the wellness program at the University of Virginia, which offers health and wellness coverage for UVa. employees and spouses on the UVa. Health Plan.
The plan has approximately 20 percent participation in its first year.
The program is designed to help members get healthy and stay healthy by improving general fitness and reducing risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other debilitating illnesses. It includes biometric screenings, nutritional education and counseling, step exercise classes, intramural rec sports, etc.
