In this week's UVA Today segment, Nicole Anastasi visited the Newsplex to introduce the University of Virginia Art Museum's new iPad app.
Anastasi, the museum's assistant registrar, says the app is "like taking the back tour. It's a way for the public to see what's on the other side of the objects."
The virtual catalog on the app at the moment includes 19 works from the collection, the majority of which are on view in the museum's Object Study Gallery, and one painting. The museum has plans to add 150 more works to the catalog in the near future.
The interactive 3-D app is available for free at the iTunes App Store. To learn more about the app, click here.
