UVA Today: VITA Free Tax Filing

February 24, 2012

In this week's look at what's going on around grounds, Evan Didier visited the Newsplex to talk about VITA at Virginia Law.

Didier is President of the University of Virginia Law School's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). Since 2007, the group has been serving the greater Charlottesville community in cooperation with Madison House.

The group's free tax filing service is open to anyone in the local community who makes under $50,000 a year. All tax preparers have passed an IRS certification exam.
