University of Virginia nurses and doctors will be hosting a Community Health Fair on Saturday, July 28.
The health fair will be held at the Booker T. Washington Park in Charlottesville from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
“It is 5th annual Charlottesville community health fair but it is in conjunction with the 23rd annual African American cultural arts festival,” said Dr. Marcus Martin, UVa Health Systems.
During the health fair, visitors will be able to have their blood pressure, body mass index, vision, hearing and more checked for free.
The health fair is also providing mammograms and that test will require a fee and they ask for people to bring their health insurance card. There are programs available to help with the cost of the exams for women with no health insurance.
