UVa Today: Dr. Marcus Martin

On this edition of UVa Today Michelle Rupp talks with Dr. Marcus Martin about the annual Charlottesville Community Health Fair.

Over a hundred volunteers to be on-hand, offering various health screenings and health information.

The fair is offering free sports physical exams for middle and high school students, though you need to register in advanced by calling 434-243-2079.

Mammogram screenings are being offered, which require an appointment made by calling 434-243-4704. You must be at least 40-years-old, and have no prior breast problems to receive a mammogram screening. Please bring your health insurance card to cover costs. Programs will be available to cover the cost if you do not have insurance.

The event will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Booker T. Washington Park on Saturday, July 27.
