For this week’s UVa Today Michelle Rupp spoke with Janet Turner-Giles about the University of Virginia’s Super Temp Program.
The program, which started a year ago, pays employees to work in various departments on Grounds. The University provides a two week training program for ten employees.
“It was a creative idea for us to bring in individuals with various array of talent so that we could train them on the University systems and provide them with opportunities,” said Turner-Giles.
Upon completion of the program, the temporary employees may be placed at job opening at the University.
