For this week's UVa Today segment Assistant Dean, Dion W. Lewis of the Office of African-American Affairs visited the Newsplex to talk about events celebrating black history month.
The Office of African American Affairs is sponsoring Preserving Culture: Contributions of Black Art events.
The events are to inform people of the contributions African Americans have made with artistic work.
The events will include dance, spoken word and musical programs. Students and local artists are participating in the events.
For a full list of the events visit the African American Affairs' website.
