UVa Today: Initiative reCOVER

January 14, 2011

For this week's segment of UVa Today, Anselmo Canfora, an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, joined CBS19's Jim Hanchett to discuss Initiative reCOVER.

Initiative reCOVER is a University of Virginia School of Architecture program. The program which works to design and build disaster recovery structures, has won first prize in an international housing competition.

The competition will help with the reconstruction of Haiti following the devastating January 2010 earthquake.

The award comes from ARCHIVE, Architecture for Health in Vulnerable Environments, an international nonprofit organization.
