For this weeks Uva Today ,Randy Bell of the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia visited he Newsplex to discuss a grant project with area teachers.
Teachers from Charlottesville elementary schools will learn how to improve their instruction skills in science to help students prepare for the Virginia Standards of Learning exams.
"We focused on those topics because those are emphasize in the new science of learning," said Bell.
The program is headed by Bell and is funded by a grant from the Virginia Mathematics and Science Partnership, funded by the Virginia Department of Education.
