For this week's segment of UVa Today, Professor James Howe of the University of Virginia Engineering Department joined CBS19's Jim Hanchett to discuses the school's new microscope.
The $1.5 million microscope was a gift from Altria of Richmond. The new electron microscope is one of only 18 in universities nationwide. Named Titon, the microscope has one of the highest resolutions of any in Virgina. It will allow researches to see the atoms which make up particles.
