If you have a stomach bug, you're not alone. In this week's What's Going Around we're talking about gastroenteritis.
Dr. John McGovern of Forest Lakes Family Medicine says gastoenteritis or the "gastrointestinal flu-bug" is going around the Charlottesville area.
Symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping and gas.
When it comes to treatment, Dr. McGovern suggests drinking plenty of fluids, eating small amounts of bland foods like rice with salt, toast with no butter and saltine crackers. He says you can gradually add more to your diet once you're starting to feel better.
