As VISAA state runner-up's in 2009, the Blue Ridge Barons football team have a lot to live up to in 2010. The team had it's best finish in over 15 years last season, and feel that they've set the bar for Barons football from here on out.
This season, the Barons have lost some leadership. 13 seniors have graduated, but filling the void are talented skill position players. Quarterback Andre Roberts will now take the reigns full time under center and in the back field Mayn Fransisco completes his transfer from Albemarle and looks to push the Barons toward that elusive state title.
The Barons season begins on September 4th, as they travel to North Cross.
