Fluvanna County High School head football coach Rodney Redd has resigned his position, effective Wednesday so he can "pursue other directions." The announcement came in a released statement by the school's athletic department.
Athletic director Scott Morris offered this statement. "We here at Fluvanna are very sorry and saddened to see Coach Redd leave us after one year, we wish him the best in what ever direction he moves in and appreciate his year of service at FCHS."
Redd served as the head coach for just one season at the head Fluco program, leading the Fluvanna team to a 3-7 record, 2-5 in the Jefferson District. The school will begin an immediate search for Redd's replacement.
