Crews were hard at work on Sunday night, installing a new artificial turf field at Charlottesville High School's football stadium.
Construction on the nearly $100,000 project began on Oct. 15. It is expected to be finished in time for the Black Knights' season finale, which will serve at the team's homecoming game.
The team will play away this week and then will return home for a game against Powhatan on Nov. 4.

It is our understanding that they are installing a synthetic turf field surface, not Astro Turf. The story has been charged to reflect that.

sloppy writing, like saying xerox instead of copy. But they REALLY meant Astro Turf, since it's a company/brand. UVA-Wise just put in new AT a few months ago. Since Monticello put in AstroTurf GameDay XPE a couple of years back, I'm assuming CHS would also go with AT.

I am sure it is not AstroTurf®.
