Blue Ridge quarterback Lance Gray was named Falcon Club Player of the Week after his most productive game of the season Saturday.

The senior scored four touchdowns in the teams 52-46 overtime victory against Atlantic Shores. Gray threw for two scores and 168 yards, while also rushing for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

“I really couldn’t do it without my team,” Gray said. “They’re out there making plays and I couldn’t do it without them.”

The Barons took their first lead of the game after scoring 14 unanswered points to end the first half up 26-24.

In the fourth quarter, Blue Ridge trailed 46-33 when Gray connected with Michael Khalifeh to cut their deficit to six points. After a Baron interception, Gray scored his second rushing touchdown of the day to tie the game at 46. Running back Mayn Francisco scored the game winner in the extra period for a 52-46 victory.

Gray also chipped in with seven tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

The Barons close the regular season next week at home with St. Anne’s-Belfield.
