Rain Postpones Area High School Football Games
Two Central Virginia high school football games were postponed Friday night due to rain. They will both be played on Monday.

Two Central Virginia high school football games were postponed Friday night due to rain. Both were James River District conference games.

The pivotal James River District game between the Buckingham Knights (3-0) and the Amelia Raiders (3-0) will be played on Monday, Sept. 26 at 7pm. Both teams enter the matchup having received votes in the latest Associated Press Group A Virginia high school football rankings. Amelia is ranked No. 2 in the state with 25 points, while the Knights check in at No. 15 with 4 points.

The James River District tilt between Goochland (3-0) and Lunenburg Central (2-0) will also be played on Monday, Sept. 26 at 7pm. Goochland is ranked No. 6 in the latest Group A state poll with 16 points.
