William Monroe finds itself in a familiar spot. The Green Dragons started the 2010 season 2-0 with dominating wins over East Rockingham and Madison County. However, the Dragons lost seven of their next eight games to finish with a disappointing 3-7 record.

Fast forward to 2011, and the Dragons are again 2-0 after wins over Nelson County and Spotswood. They welcome the undefeated Broadway Gobblers (2-0) to town Friday night, a team that earned a state playoff birth with an 8-4 record.

En route to its perfect start, Broadway has outscored its two opponents - Woodstock Central and Millbrook - by a combined 55-14. However, Friday night's 7:30pm game in Greene County will be the Gobblers first road test of the young season.

Broadway had a stellar 6-0 record at home last season, but was vulnerable on the road, compiling a 2-3 record.

All these factors make this matchup between the Green Dragons and the Gobblers our Friday Night EndZone Game of the Week. We'll have an Endzone crew roaming sidelines capturing the action and tweeting updates (@FNEfotball).

So be sure to watch Friday Night EndZone at 11:35pm on ABC16 for all the scores and highlights!
