A celebration of Earth Week took place on the University of Virginia grounds, and some students are jumpstarting some good habits.
One of the event's main attractions -- a blender powered by pedaling a bicycle. The EcoFair was sponsored by the Sustainability Group at the university.
The fair was held at the McIntire Amphitheatre and was open to the public. Student groups and vendors hope to educate people about the importance of being eco-friendly.
"Sustainability is one of the core missions of UVa., so we really try to embody that by teaching students and the community about what they can do to be green," said Nina Morris, the university's sustainability outreach coordinator.
Morris said everyone can make small changes from simply turning off the lights to walking instead of driving.
