Lessons learned from Earth Day are carried over into a fair in Downtown Charlottesville.
An EcoFair at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion took place Saturday, as part of Charlottesville Earth Week. More than 75 exhibitors showed residents how to live greener, cleaner lifestyles through workshops and demos.
The fair featured demonstrations on recycling, rain barrel construction and worm composting.
"Our goal is to make it a way of life and not something that is just done on a whim," said David Outing, representing Allied Waste Services. "That's why we're out here today, to give everybody the knowledge of recycling."
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which continues its goal to increase environmental awareness in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
