Louisa County senior Andre Mealy has not yet decided where he will play college football next fall, but he has narrowed his options. Mealy said Sunday night that he's leaning towards the University of Richmond and will have his official visit next week. He's also considering Shepherd University in West Virginia.
The Spiders are interested in Mealy as a running back. The Rams have been recruiting him as a linebacker.
Mealy rushed for more than 1,800 yards and 25 touchdowns this season. He was a first team All-Central Virginia and Jefferson District all-star and is among the top students in his senior class.
Andre was the CBS19 Burger King Student-Athlete of the Week on October 6, 2011.
