Hometown actor Billy Campbell visited Charlottesville Sunday as part of the final day of the Virginia Film Festival. The Western Albemarle High School graduate promoted his new movie Fat Kid Rules the World.

Campbell co-stars in the film. The movie was shown at Newcomb Hall Theater at the University of Virginia as part of the Virginia Film Festival, which wrapped up Sunday.

The movie is also the debut for director Matthew Lillard.

"It's a very uplifting story. It's a sweet story. It's not sappy, but it’s what you might call a feel-good movie," Campbell said.

Campbell hosted a discussion after the movie.

Campbell is also recognized for his role along side Jennifer Lopez in the movie Enough.
