1 Injury, No Arrests in Charlottesville Shooting

Charlottesville Police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

Police say it happened around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Garrett Street, just a few blocks from the Downtown Mall.

Police described the victim as a man in his mid-30s. He was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center with minor injuries.

A police spokesman said investigators are still investigating the case and no arrests have been made.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
