Woodbrook Elementary School students will soon have revitalized baseball fields thanks to the Carson Raymond Foundation.

The Foundation and the Albemarle County School Board will finalize plans for the baseball dugouts at Woodbrook in Albemarle County. The School Board is expected to accept the Foundation's plans to fund and build the dugouts when they meet Thursday night.

Some residents opposed the original enclosed design plan for the dugouts because they would attract kids looking for trouble.

the Carson Raymond Foundation hopes to have the dugouts finished by the end of September, when Carson would have celebrated his tenth birthday.

Carson, a student of Woodbrook Elementary, died last year from complications of the Swine Flu. His parents created the Carson Raymond Foundation in his honor, and its mission is to build and enhance fields in local communities.
