Gymnastics is a sport that doesn't see too much of the limelight, but that doesn't make it any less of a challenge. In this week's Make Dan Sweat, Dan heads to Classics Gymnastics in Albemarle County for a little lesson. He quickly learned what to do, and what not to do.

The goal is: monkey see, monkey do... starting with floor routines. Gymnastics is a tough sport. It takes a lot of natural strength, flexibility, coordination, and hard work!

"It's definitely a commitment," says Pearl Risberg. "I come to the gym for three and a half hours during the school year, and five days a week for four hours during the summer."

Joe Gamma owns the gym and says most of his gymnasts have been in the sport since the young age of three.

"We've been in business for 25 years this year," Gamma says. "My wife and I opened in 1986 and we teach classes to almost 600 young children a week.

And after one day of joining in, Dan admits all 600 of the gymnasts at Classic Gymnastics are more skilled than him when it comes to the rings.
