Charlottesville Police are investigating a robbery outside the Savour Restaurant on Emmet Street, just north of the Barracks Road Shopping Center.
Police say a driver with "Virginia Linen" was making a delivery inside the restaurant. When he got back into his truck he heard a noise and then saw someone pointing a semi-automatic pistol at him.
The robber reportedly demanded money. After the truck driver gave him some cash, the gunman jumped over a fence behind the restaurant.
The suspect is described as a black male with medium complexion. He is in his mid 20's and weighs about 250 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was said to be wearing a black shirt and jeans.
If you have any information that can help police, call Crimestoppers at 434-977-4000.

I am the driver the truck and HAVE a concealed permit. Company policy forbade me from carrying my wepon on the job. That being said, I wouldn't have shot him anyway - not over 200.00.
It almost always takes a tragedy before a business will put up a surveillance camera to record the area where the drug deals happen and the interesting people like to lurk in the shadows.
It is time that we arm and defend ourselves as it seems the justice system isn't. I would bet that this loser of an individual is a repeat offender and should not even be out among the rest of the civil population. I for one just received my concealed weapons permit and carry my hand gun most everywhere and will not hesitate to use deadly force if the situation demands so. I suggest all law abiding citizens do the same as the bleeding hearts will continue to let these type of people run free amongst us.
