Tailgaters were "warming up" for the first game of the 2010 season with cookouts, cornhole and more!

CBS19 spoke to folks who began tailgating at 11:00am, seven hours before kick-off. They were joined by other Cavalier fans in front of University Hall in Charlottesville.

The tailgaters say they take their football very seriously, but "fun" is a contact sport. "We set up early, play some cornhole, have a few libations," says Cavalier fan Suzanne Moore. "We cookout too, doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner!"

Scott Stadium was not sold out Saturday but fans report that the stadium was a sea of orange with people showing their support.

Saturday is the last time Hoo Nation will get to tailgate until September 25. That's when the Cavaliers return home to face Virginia Military Institute. But folks at "Camp Wahoo" say, they tailgate every game, home or away.

The New President of UVA needs to have another lecture about all the drinking involving underage drinking of UVA students. LE needs to enforce the law. Tail gate parties are fun some run by a family getting together. Go out to the next game see for yourself. Another time to go and observe Frat parties Many under age drinking. LE enforse the law this is going on right under their eyes seen people walk right passw LE and nothing done for shame.
