Following the release of case information Wednesday, it appears the water rate hike for Lake Monticello residents will not be as large as was proposed and originally anticipated by Aqua Virginia.
An advisor for the State Corporation Commission is recommending water rates be raised by 18% and sewer rates raised by 41%. Aqua Virginia has asked the SCC to raise rates by 40% for water and by 50% for sewer.

Before the rate increases can go into effect, the SCC will need to approve the advisor recommendation.

I had a dream to make my own business, but I did not have got enough amount of money to do it. Thank heaven my colleague recommended to use the loans. Thence I used the small business loan and realized my desire.

This story is not really accurate. Aqua Virginia's proposed increases went into effect 10 months ago, requiring no SCC approval. The story should instead say that Aqua Virginia will not be forced to change, and thereby lower its rates, until SCC issues formal approval. I want my money back from Aqua VA NOW.
