The Charlottesville Albemarle Association of Realtors released it's third quarter market report on Monday.
The bad news is housing market continues to be hard to people trying to sell their homes.
But, the good news is, people who are looking to by have a lot to choose from and can be a lot pickier when it comes to looking for a new home.
“It’s an excellent time for buyers to be considering because the prices have adjusted and its just a time to really get some good bargains,” said CAAR President, Lori Chapman.
Keith Ladsten, Marketing Director with the Woodlands of Charlottesville said, “People are definitely shopping around a lot more, they are definitely weighting all their different options and looking at the communities and see that their purchase is the purchase that they want to make.”
According to CAAR's third quarter report, the number of houses for sale in the market has increased, and so are the numbers of days they stay on the market.
“Which means that the houses that sell are the houses that are really priced at good prices,” said Chapman.
