Charlottesville Fire Department Launching Detector Survey

October 18, 2007

The Charlottesville Fire Department will be launching a city wide effort to make sure that every home in the city has a working smoke detector.

On Monday the fire department will start "Get Alarmed, Charlottesville," a phone call campaign to every resident in the city to make sure they have a working smoke detector.

Once the survey has been completed the fire department will visit every area where people do not have smoke detectors or where there was no answer to continue the effort of getting working smoke detectors to everyone.
