Officials have closed a high school near Roanoke after a small bag of ammunition was discovered in a girls' bathroom.

Officials at Pulaski County High School closed the school for the day at 10:30 a.m. Buses took students home. County Sheriff Jim Davis said school officials called law enforcement officers after the bag of bullets was discovered shortly after 8 a.m.

A search of the school turned up no weapons nor other ammunition. Davis said his office will continue to investigate the incident.
