Man And Juvenile Charged In Truck Stop Shooting

A 35-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy have been charged in a shooting that happened at a truck stop in Marion, Virginia.

35-year-old Derek Fisher of Rural Retreat faces attempted capital
murder, armed robbery and furnishing a juvenile with a firearm charges after authorities say he and the juvenile robbed a truck stop late Thursday and shot the clerk in the face.

The youth is charged with attempted capital murder and armed
robbery.

The sheriff's office says the pair robbed the Village Truck Stop shortly before midnight, then were convinced to come out of a nearby residence by sheriff's deputies.

The clerk is in stable condition at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Fisher also faces numerous charges in a separate event from earlier Thursday.
