There are three seats up for election on the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors and four new faces who want a chance at the job.

Current Board Chairmen Cecil Cobb is not seeking re-election in the Fork Union District.

Republican John Easter and Independent Mozell Booker are both running for that position.

Current Vice-Chair, Thomas Payne is not seeking re-election in the Palmyra District.

Two Independents, Minor Eager and John Gooch are running for that position.

The third seat in the Rivanna district is running un-opposed by incumbent, Gene Ott.

All candidates say keeping taxes low and bringing more jobs to the area is important, but not all candidates agree on one big issue: the construction and price tag of a brand new multi-million dollar county high school.

You'll find links to extended versions of candidate interviews on this web page.
