A couple traveling across the country to raise money for childhood cancer stopped in Charlottesville Saturday.

Deborah Shapiro and Gary Rideout left their Illinois home to tour the U.S. in their RV. They're raising money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research.

The organization organizes head-shaving events, where volunteers shave their heads to raise money.

The couple is also trying to cover their entire RV with well wishes from people they encounter.
