At the Charlottesville city council meeting Monday plans to build a new YMCA moved forward but the deal has not been sealed yet.

City councilors voted to look at the project again in a few weeks. The original plans have the new "Y" built over a softball field at Charlottesville’s McIntyre Park.

But, city council has yet to decide whether or not to lease that land to build the multi-purpose facility.

Right now, the city has two indoor swimming pools that need renovation. This project could potentially replace those pools.
