Madison County Sheriffs have arrested a man after he was found standing naked in the road, throwing a child to the ground multiple times.
Authorities responded to a 911 call around 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning about the suspect, Jason Edward Robinson. A citizen was assaulted after approaching the Robinson but the good samaritan was able to get the child away from him.
Robinson ran to his car after deputies arrived at the scene. Robinson crashed his car which lead to a foot chase. Robinson was eventually caught.
He has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding, DUID (Driving Under the Influence of Drugs), and felony eluding. Robinson was also wanted by authorities in Culpeper County for a probation violation.
He is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail. Madison County Sheriff Weaver is asking anyone that witnessed any part of the crime to contact the Madison County Sheriffs Office at 540-948-5161.
